Safety device entirely made of AISI316 for the protection of machines and men in case of sudden breakage of gaskets on flanged connections. Often inadequate maintenance or chance causes the decay of gasket performance and in certain situations this could be a source of dangerous, even fatal situations.
Especially on pressurized systems or those transporting fluids at temperature or dangerous substances, it becomes an indispensable aid. This device acts as a barrier to the propagation of a possible leakage jet that would risk hitting people and things in the vicinity of the connection and dissipates its force. It does not block the leakage, but limits the possible even fatal damage.
